Google has announced the Google India Code to Learn Contest 2015 for school students in classes 5 to 10 enrolled at any school in India.
The students can develop their projects in Scratch or App Inventor and submit them for the contest. Scratch and App Inventor are tools developed at MIT that make programming very easy. It helps students to tell stories, make animations, build games and create Android apps in a quick and intuitive manner.
The contest is open to all students in classes 5 to 10 enrolled at any school in India. The students will compete in three class groups:
- Classes 5 & 6
- Classes 7 & 8
- Classes 9 & 10
The 9 winners (3 from each class group) will get a certificate of achievement and a Nexus tablet or Chromebook laptop or an equivalent gift. All the finalists will get a certificate of achievement.
Parents or Legal Guardians of students in classes 5 to 10 can register for their children here for the contest.
